Terms of Service

Wayback ID provides pet identification tags and a recovery profile that a finder can view when a tag is scanned. We give you tools to improve the chance of a reunion; we do not guarantee that a lost pet will be found or returned.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and tag activation secrets secure, and for the accuracy of the information you publish on a recovery profile. Each tag may be claimed by one account.

You choose what a finder can see. Only publish information you are comfortable showing to a member of the public who scans the tag, and only publish contact details you are entitled to share.

Do not use Wayback ID to harass anyone, to publish unlawful content, to scan or probe tags you do not own, or to interfere with the service. We may disable a tag or an account that is being misused.

Text message alerts. Wayback ID sends automated SMS alerts to owners who have opted in. Alerts are informational and are not guaranteed to be delivered; message delivery depends on your mobile carrier. Wayback ID is not responsible for carrier delays or failures. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help.

A physical tag is a durable identity asset. Tags can be disabled or replaced, and their history is preserved for your records. A disabled or replaced tag no longer shows a recovery profile.

We work to keep the service available, but it is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Scans, alerts, and location sharing depend on networks and devices outside our control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wayback ID is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss arising from a pet not being recovered.

You may stop using Wayback ID at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms.

We may update these terms; the date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
